It’s summer

Above, a photo shot just yesterday of the newly-painted house at Clear Creek Cove. And below, a shot of our pier: The lake was beautiful and relatively warm this weekend. We could’ve floated all day. The ducks were paddling around the cove, and turtles sunning on a rock. This should be a perfect summer.

Pumpkin Season

West of Clear Creek Cove past Buchanan Dam, where Highway 29 intersects Ranch Road 1431, there’s a vegetable stand we often visit. They sell fresh okra, squash, tomatoes, etc.  A week ago we visited and found a great pile of pumpkins.

Foxes

We saw two red foxes crossing the road within the last two weeks. One was in Inks Lake State Park, but the other was about six miles away, crossign the highway close to Burnet.
