Vanishing Texas River Cruise: Low Water Drought Conditions

The Vanishing Texas River Cruise can't follow its normal course because water levels are too low due to drought, but they're offering a 90-minute cruise on Lake Buchanan around the wildlife sanctuary of Garret Island, the reappearance of the old villages of Tow and Bluffton and the travertine formation of White Bluff. Horseback Riding at Post Oak Farm

Post Oak Farm in the Burnet area offers a 2-hour plus trail ride at $50 per person. They have regular rides on weekends, but can schedule rides any day but Monday. Riders must be at least 8 years old and weight less than 225 lbs. Call 512-756-4647 for reservations.
